HOW DOES ADAS WORK IN MODERN VEHICLES?
There are 2 types of calibrations an auto glass company will perform after installing your windshield, each vehicle is different. These methods are called Static and Dynamic. A Static calibration uses specialized tools and targets (designed to OEM specifications) to ensure the cameras and sensors are properly aligned. Whereas a Dynamic calibration consists of the technician getting behind the wheel and driving in traffic, allowing the camera and sensors to read the road markers and street signs to determine proper placement. For some vehicles, such as Hondas and Subarus, both a Static and Dynamic calibration must be performed before the systems will work properly.

ADAS CALIBRATION FAQS
Why Do I Need ADAS Calibration After a Windshield Replacement?
If your vehicle has ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), the forward-facing camera mounted on the windshield must be precisely aligned. Even a misalignment as small as one degree can cause ADAS sensors to give inaccurate readings, which could compromise the safety of you and other drivers.
What Types of ADAS Calibration Do You Perform?
We perform both static and dynamic calibrations. Static calibration uses specialized targets and tools to adjust the camera while the car is stationary, and dynamic calibration is done on the road to fine-tune the system using lane markers and traffic. Some vehicles require one type of calibration, while others require both. Our technicians will inform you of your vehicle’s requirements and perform precise calibration to ensure proper functionality.
Are Your Technicians Certified for ADAS Calibration?
Yes. Our technicians are trained and certified in windshield calibration and use the latest technology to ensure your vehicle meets manufacturer safety standards.
How Long Does the ADAS Calibration Process Usually Take?
The ADAS calibration process can take anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the vehicle’s make and model, the number and type of sensors, and whether both static and dynamic methods are needed.
Do You Work With My Insurance Provider?
Yes. We work with all major insurance providers and handle the paperwork, making the calibration process easy and hassle-free for our customers.

When Should ADAS Sensors Be Recalibrated?
ADAS calibration is typically required whenever your vehicle’s cameras or sensors are misaligned. This includes collision repairs, windshield replacements, suspension or alignment work, sensor or camera replacements, or if ADAS warnings appear on your dashboard. Our technicians are fully certified to properly align your vehicle’s cameras and sensors, ensuring that all safety features function as designed.
